Ryan's Debut At Kearney

Picture
Kearney Dog Sled Races were held February 5th-7th 2010, and Ryan had his debut Kid N' Mutt race. He chose Rave to lead him down trail, and never broke a nervous sweat (although I did!). Ryan confidently went up to the starting line as the first called. He was cool, he was excited, he wanted to race. The start was great, then about a quarter way down the trail, Rave got a little overwhelmed. He realized that there were hundreds of faces staring at him, so he ducked into the crowed. We tried to get him back on track but the pressure was too great. Ryan was a little disappointed, but knew that it wasn't his fault. Ryan is ready and looking forward to racing in Markstay-Warren in 2011, and then on to Kearney again. Ryan did get the chance at Kearney to strut his stuff when we took him sown to the frozen lake and let him rip it up with Rave leading the way. We are very proud of Ryan and his new found interest in dog sledding. Please take a moment and watch the video of Ryan and Rave doing their thing across the lake.
